Enumclaw Naturopathic

Frequently Asked Questions

Naturopathic medicine is a system of care that prioritizes understanding the underlying drivers of symptoms rather than treating only surface complaints. It focuses on individualized, thoughtful, data-informed care designed to support your body’s natural healing processes

We begin with a Comprehensive Diagnostic & Care Planning Visit, during which Dr. Walch reviews your health history, symptoms, labs, and patterns to develop a clear clinical understanding. Treatments and next steps are shaped from this foundation. Structured plans of care are recommended after that initial evaluation, based on your needs — not before. (This reduces guesswork and unnecessary visits.)

Your first visit is 90 minutes, designed for deep listening, pattern recognition, and assessment. Dr. Walch will gather information about your goals, health history, symptoms, and labs and discuss what may be contributing to your health concerns. From there she develops a personalized recommendation — which may include structured care over time.

We do not bill insurance directly. This allows Dr. Walch to spend the time necessary for meaningful assessment and personalized care. You may be able to submit a superbill to your insurance for individual visits, but reimbursement is determined by your plan and is not guaranteed. (Please check with your insurance carrier.)

Care plans as bundles are not eligible for superbills.

Dr. Walch works with chronic and complex concerns, including digestive conditions (e.g., IBS, SIBO), hormonal imbalances, metabolic challenges, and other persistent symptoms that benefit from a deeper, root-cause approach

Prospective clients begin by completing our New Client Application. This helps ensure a good fit for our model and allows us to prepare for your diagnostic visit. If your application is accepted, our team will reach out within 48–72 business hours to schedule your first appointment.

Payment for visits and care plan enrollment is due at the time of booking. We accept cash, check, credit/debit cards, and HSA cards where applicable. Clear payment up front helps us offer transparent, predictable pricing with no surprise bills.

Yes — we offer monthly payment options as a convenience for care plans. These divide the remaining balance after your initial visit into predictable, flat monthly payments. Paid-in-full options are also available and carry the lowest total cost. Payment plans are not refundable and require card on file.

There’s no obligation to continue care beyond the first visit. Your diagnostic appointment is designed to provide clarity and a recommendation — your decision about next steps happens after that.

Some lab tests may be billed through your insurance if you choose that route. You’re welcome to use insurance for labs when possible, but this varies by plan and lab company; please verify with your insurance. Labs included in your care plan are part of the bundled recommendation and may not be itemized for insurance.

If supplements are recommended, you may be given guidance for in-office purchase or through our online dispensary. Recommendations are individualized, and you are never required to purchase supplements through us.
